Is there a fish friendly wood treatment?
Simon has pond 10ft by 11ft constructed above ground out of wood. A third of of the pond has yellow and green decking over it which you can sit on and watch the fish below. The decking is quite secure but is ready for re-treating and the treatment Simon has used in the past is no longer available.
What would be the best treatment for the wood that would pose little or no danger to the fish?

We strongly recommend using G4 sealant after treating. You should also try not to get any wood treatment in the pond when painting. To do this you should either remove the decking and copings and paint and G4 them elsewhere away from the pond and fish only replacing them when dry. If that is not possible then the pond should be covered with sheeting.
