Help and advice on shopping for: Aquarium Accessories

Finishing touches and tools

Accessories is a ‘catch-all’ term used to bundle together some of the more uncommon fish tank products we stock. Our accessories range contains assorted accessory packs, adhesives, fishnets and reef construction products all made from leading aquatic brands including Aquaforest, Seneye and Seachem.

What are accessories?

Aquarium Accessories are some of those essential devices that no fish keeper worth their salt will do without. These are items that will save you a lot of time and hassle as you look after your fish tank. Accessories include fish traps, reef holders, snail traps, epoxy sticks, fishnets and silicone.

Why should I buy accessories?

Each accessory has its own purpose and they’re pretty varied but in general, each has been designed to help you maintain and improve your aquarium. Often, it is the small accessories, not complex hardware that will really make a difference to an Aquarist’s day-to-day routine by helping to speed them up or eliminate tasks completely.

What are the main types of accessories?

While our range of accessories are quite varied we have split them into four categories; accessory packs, adhesives, fish nets & traps and reef construction. Accessory packs are sets of accessories that often add new functionally to hardware such as a remote control or a fixture to keep it in place within your aquarium. Adhesives are glues and other substances used to stick two aquarium elements together. Fish nets & traps are used to capture fish, either when they are being aggressive or need to be moved. Finally, reef construction is made up of all the tools and products needed to create a vibrant living reef.

What should I look for?

Accessories generally fill a need. Our best advice is to go through the accessories range and think about whether each item would be useful to your aquarium. With a bit of trial and error you’re sure to build up a great collection of handy accessories to help you master your aquarium.
