Aqua Medic Deniballs are great for fresh and salt water aquaria to help reduce nitrates. Available from Swell UK.

A filter material and bacterium food for the Nitratereductor is available from Swell UK.

DENIBALLS are made from a special biologically based plastic material.

In the absence of oxygen, anaerobic bacteria metabolize this material.

The bacteria are used for the reduction of nitrates - reducing nitrate to nitrogen gas.

For the NITRATREDYCTOR 5000, about 5 litres (1.3 gallons) are required. Changing the DENIBALLS after approximately 12 months is recommended to ensure safe and maintenance free denitrification in fresh and salt water aquarium.
