Aqua Medic KR 1000 Calcium reactor 1000ltr

The Aqua Medic Calciumreactor KR 1000 is a closed system designed for universal use, and available from Swell UK.

It can be operated on a bypass system, independent of the water level in the aquarium, or alternatively be installed in the filter sump.

It includes a large volume (10 litres or c. 2.5 gallons) of Hydrocarbonate and an integrated circulation pump that features the patented Aqua Medic needle wheel.

By adding CO2, the pH value in the Calciumreactor falls and the Hydrocarbonate is dissolved. Even with a low flow rate of 1 to 4 l/hr (c. 0,25 to 1 gph), a large amount of dissolved calcium enters into the aquarium, which is assimilated by the animals.

The Calciumreactor has an integral port to accommodate a PG 13.5 threaded electrode to measure the pH value.
