Fluval Filter Carbon

Fluval Filter Carbon is now available from Swell UK, a Leading Online Retailer of Aquarium Supplies.

The 300g Fluval Filter Carbon contains 300grams of loose carbon per pack. The Filter Carbon is suitable for both fresh water and salt water fish tanks and aquariums and has been designed to remove odours, urine and other liquid waste, heavy metals, organic contamination, pollutants and also helps to remove discolouration making the water in your tank clear.

The Filter Carbon soaks up this waste as it's structure is made up to have a large porous area, which not only soaks up but also traps the waste stopping it from escaping back into the aquarium water.

As with the Fluval Ammonia Remover it does become less effective over time, you will not be able to tell by looking at the carbon filter that it is becoming less effective, but you should look to change the Filter Carbon approximately once per month.

If you are using medication in your aquarium or fish tank you should stop the use of the Carbon Filter during this time, and you should take care when using in an aquarium which contains live plants.
