Swell Nordic Gravel 2-4mm

Swell Nordic Gravel is part of our natural range of gravels for those who want an authentic look to their aquarium. It can be used in any fish tank but particularly suits freshwater tanks with plants. It is pre-washed and doesn't contain any dyes.

Overview:

Swell Nordic Gravel is an attractive natural gravel with grains in between 2-4mm. The Swell natural range is specially selected for those who want an authentic look to their aquarium.

Nordic Gravel is characterised by pale stones, noticeably whites, greys, pearls, and beiges. As its name suggests it gives a clean, frosty look to the bottom of your aquarium but doesn't look artificially bright in the way a brilliant white would.

The gravel is inert and won't affect the pH of your water. It is also pre-washed and includes no dyes and it won't give off powder so you don't have to worry about this substrate making your water murky.

The grains are quite rounded so are unlikely to hurt the underside of bottom dwelling fish.

To achieve a classic aquascaping scene, Nordic Gravel works very well as a base layer with Maui Quartz Sand sprinkled over the top and finished with Burmese Mixed Pebbles to add a touch of texture.

Best of all because Nordic Gravel is part of Swell's own brand range it will save you money compared with big name brands.

Please note you may be advised to rinse the gravel briefly before adding it to your aquarium. Although it is powder-free, the nature of stones mean they can occasionally chip a little in transit, so this just ensures there are no undesirable little pieces of stone in your tank.
