Swell Fiji Sand Coarse

Swell Fiji Sand Coarse is part of our range of aquarium sands for those who want a natural look to their aquarium. It can be used in any fish tank but particularly suits freshwater tanks with plants. It doesn't contain any dyes.

Overview:

Swell Fiji Sand Coarse is a gravelly sand with a natural look to it. It is part of our sand substrates range for that authentic looking aquarium.

Swell Fiji Sand Coarse is made up of a multitude of different coloured grains including browns, greys, beiges, oranges, whites and blacks.

Grains of sand are measured in microns (U) with 1000U being equal to 1mm. Swell Fiji Sand Coarse is 1700-2500U so each grain is around 1.7mm to 2.5mm.

The sand is inert and won't affect the pH of your water. It is also pre-washed and includes no dyes and it won't give off powder so you don't have to worry about this substrate making your water murky.

Best of all because Fiji Sand coarse is part of Swell's own brand range it will save you money compared with big name brands.

Please note you should wash the sand before adding it to your aquarium. Although it is powder-free, the nature of sand means the grains rub against each other in transit, so this just ensures there are no undesirable dust in your tank which would irritate your fish.

Fiji Sand Coarse is available in three different size bags, 2.5kg, 5kg and 25kg.
