JBL PH Test Set 3.0 - 10.0

The JBL pH Test-Set 3,0-10,0 is an easy to use quick-test for the general first-hand control of the pH-value in freshwater and saltwater, covering the pH-range 3,0 to 10.

Why test the pH value?

The well-being of fish and the growth of aquatic plants are largely dependent on the proper pH-balance of the water. Many substances solved in water are also liable to changes caused by the pH-value. Fluctuations in the pH-value, in particular, ought to be avoided.

The pH-value most conducive for keeping freshwater fish and plants is in the neutral range around 7. A pH-value of around 8.3 must be maintained in saltwater aquariums. For precise measurements of the pH-value in the highly important freshwater range of 6.0 to 7.6 (especially for the control of CO2 fertilization), use the JBL pH Test Set Special.
