The garden "Trunk Roads and Sustainable Roots" which was designed by the Highways Agency, walked off with a Gold medal and the Best in Show Category at the recent Chelsea Flower Show.
RHS Judges applauded the gardens uses of trees and shrubs found naturally in the UK along with it’s deeper message of how the Highways Agency is creating sustainable, wildlife friendly habitats at the verges of our busy roads and motorways; creating environments for animals that may have been displaced due to the addition of an asphalt highway.
