One of the main attractions for kids at a resort could well be the koi pond, an article suggests.
Kids heading to the Philea Resort and Spa in Malacca could well be fascinated by the large koi pond at the location, a report suggests.The Malay Mail says that the resort has a number of features for all the family, but the large koi pond could be the biggest draw.
It features "peekaboo flooring slabs", the paper says, so kids could have the chance to see the fish from a range of different places.
And with around 5,000 koi carp of all different sizes swimming in the pond, children and adults alike are unlikely to get bored watching the animals.
Indeed, a number of individuals have stated that watching koi carp can be a serene experience that helps people to relax.
There is no need to go to a resort to be able to enjoy watching the fish, though. It is possible to keep koi carp in garden ponds. Doing so could help to bring year-round entertainment.
