What are Oase Aquamax Eco Twin pumps?

Oase Aquamax Eco Premium pumps are particularly powerful filter pumps with an individually adjustable flow rate of the two motors via remote control. They have a market-leading, large 11 mm solids handling capacity, which means they require minimal maintenance. With a hose size of up to 50 mm and flow rates from 20000-27000 lph, Eco Twin pumps are energy-efficient and come with a 5-year guarantee for total peace of mind. Uniquely patented frost protection means this filter pond pump will not be damaged at temperatures down to -20°C.

Key Features:

  • Adjustable flow rate
  • 11mm solids-handling capacity
  • Low maintenance
  • Hose size up to 50mm
  • 20000-27000lph flow rate range

Why does the Eco Twin have two motors?

Designed with two individually controllable motors which can be adjusted via a remote control, the Eco Twin are powerful filter pumps that have different water intake functions. They can be switched and regulated individually so wattage is reduced as flow is reduced.

The following combinations are possible:

  • Pond filtration and satellite filter
  • Pond floor filtration skimmer
  • Pure pond floor filtration

What are the benefits of solids-handling pumps?

This solids-handling pump has an environmental function control which means the pump switches off automatically in the event of a dry run and blocking. Solids-handling pumps are designed to allow the free passage of solids throughout the pump without damaging the pump. The Oase Aquamax Eco Twin pump will pass debris, dirty water or particles up to 11 mm without restriction, improving water quality and clarity.

What size pump do I need for my pond?

Selecting what size pond pump to run your filtration system is one of the most important things to consider when setting up your pond. Pump flow rates drop when you pump higher and further than the pond, so you need to consider these effects. You should aim to purchase a pump that meets the maximum flow rate of your filter at its height above pond level.

What fittings will I need to install this pump?

You'll need to consider how you'll get power to your pump. To comply with UK electrical legislation, pond appliances can't be supplied with a fitted plug, so you'll need to purchase one separately or wire it into an outdoor socket. A 10 m cable is provided, but as these do not come with a fitted plug you can lengthen the cable with a waterproof connector. You'll also need some ribbed anti-kink pond hose and hose clips to keep the hose firmly attached to the pump.
