Growth of algae can be a nuisance in many garden ponds so make use of the Velda Algae Blocks to cleanse your pond without fuss or mess. With 1 block being sufficient for up to 1,500 Litres of water you can even use a half tablet for added versatility.

Fibrous algae, slimy algae and green water will spoil the pleasure you take in keeping a pond. These algae are not just detestable from an aesthetic point of view. What is worse, they obstruct plant growth and most of the time they even render it impossible.

To remove this nasty growth of algae, Velda has developed Algae Block tablets. Its composition has been chosen so that, provided a proper dosage is applied, a mild action will be brought about, which checks the growth of algae and which does not harm fish and plants.

Algae Block are easy to use. They can be simply thrown into the pond water and will then sink down to the bottom.

Algae Block contain a number of very active substances, which fight growth of algae and take care that the pond will remain free from algae in a certain period of time. Provided that they are correctly dosed, Algae Block are safe for plants and fish, whereas the micro fauna will be hardly attacked.

It is recommendable to add Algae Block to pond water in such a manner, that fish can not eat them.

• Calculate the water capacity of your pond as accurately as possible.
• One tablet is enough for 1,500 litres of water. Round the number of tablets down, if necessary use half a tablet.
• Distribute the tablets over the bottom surface of the pond. However, take care that they are not situated near a water outlet or water lilies.
