Blagdon MiniPond UVC

The Blagdon MiniPond is a green water UV clarifier.

The MiniPond is effective for the long term control of green water by exposing the pond water to UV radition.

It is a chemical free solution with no detrimental effects to the environment or water quality and ensures the destruction of algae and green water.

The Blagdon MiniPond is cheap to run with a 5 watt power consumption and safe and simple to install, with a weatherpoof low voltage transformer included. It is effective in conjunction with all filter systems.

How a UV clarifier works:

• Green water algae is drawn into the UVC with pond water
• UV lamp within quartz tube allows UV light to penetrate the pond water killing the single celled algae
• As algae is killed it binds together into larger clumps
• Algae clumps are removed by filter or returned to the pond to sink out of sight.
