Basically, this new filter is also a flow though filter which have many advantages such as the rich supply of oxygen and high flow through rates.

Remaining fish food, fish excrement, decaying vegetation and also petals, leaves and dust brought in by the wind pollute a pond with a surplus of nutrients. The consequences are often algae growth and murky ponds. Increased decomposition processes also pollute the pond with toxic substances, which will reduce plant growth and endanger the health of fish or other occupants of the pond.

Why use UV systems?

UV helps improves a fish’ chances in fighting bacterial diseases or even parasitic diseases such as Ich. UV Sterilization is effective for controlling suspended algae (green water) in ponds along with proper filtration, leaving you with a clear view of your fish.

The Blagdon Pro 21600 UVC comes complete with multi hose tails, female solvent waste 1 1/2 " sockets and an advanced power compact UV lamp system which allows twice the UV light output in the same installation area compared to conventional linear lamps.
