What are the features of this marine fish tank?

Red Sea Reefer marine aquariums are constructed from ultra-clear, bevelled-edge glass. This rimless glass has an increased thickness of up to 19 mm. All reefer tanks sit upon marine-spec laminated cabinets made from plywood that follows the contour of the glass ensuring your aquarium has the right support it needs. It features level-able feet and stainless steel hinges.

When it comes to aquarium equipment, Red Sea is renowned for its expertise. Reefer G2+ systems allow you to combine LED lighting, dosing and wave pumps and filtration into one smart system using the ReefBeat app.

Reefer 170 features dual side-facing return pump outlets that offer optimal water circulation. The piping is hidden in a large central overflow box, which houses a large surface skimmer with removable comb parts for easy tank maintenance. By straining all surface debris, you will have crystal clear aquarium water. The box also houses the silent downflow system which is designed with a new and improved high-precision valve and an enlarged rectangular inlet to the downflow pipe. This reduces noise and allows easy regulation of the water flow. All pipework is included and comes ready assembled and glued, so all you need to do is set up your tank.

The sleek cabinet of the Red Sea Reefer 170 G2+ marine aquarium houses a REEF-SPEC sump as well as a mechanical filtration media compartment. This removable, ReefMat-ready mechanical filtration compartment is complete with micron filter socks and media cups. Your aquarium water filters through the filter media before entering an adjustable height skimmer chamber for optimal skimmer performance. A bubble-removing cascade removes any air bubbles from returning to the aquarium.

What's included in the LED lighting kit?

Red Sea has combined the popular Reefer tank system with the very latest ReefLED 90 lighting. The lighting kit includes 1 x ReefLED 90 light and includes the bespoke Red Sea mounting arms that bolt firmly into the rear wall of the aquarium and which can be rotated upright during reef-scaping. The reef-safe LED light has been designed to ensure optimal coral growth and dramatic colouration while creating a gentle shimmer throughout the aquarium. The ReefLED lights are guaranteed to be reef-safe and are very easy to set up.

The built-in WiFi connects them directly to the internet, enabling you to control them from your smartphone using Red Sea's ReefBeat smart aquarium app. At the heart of the unit is a single, compact LED array that includes a multi-wavelength, 23,000 Kelvin "REEF-SPEC Blue" channel (a proprietary blend of blue, violet and ultraviolet LEDs) which, together with an 8,000K White channel, provides a reef-safe range of colour temperatures which enable all corals to flourish. In addition, a separate dedicated 3W moonlight channel provides low levels of light for reef-safe night-time viewing.
