What is Aquaforest Microelements Fluorine?
Aquaforest Microelements Fluorine is a marine aquarium supplement that contains highly concentrated fluoride. Fluorine is one of the main micronutrients contained in seawater. In a closed marine aquarium system, the skimmer and filtration media remove fluorine deposits from the water, therefore supplementation is necessary. Fluorine participates in the calcification process and supports skeletal tissue. Sodium fluoride and calcium fluoride are the building material of coral skeletons; therefore, fluoride supplementation is necessary in a reef aquarium. Balanced fluoride supplementation effectively strengthens the blue and white colouration of SPS corals, as well as highlighting the fluorescence of most corals. Contains traces of potassium and iodine.
Dosage: 1 drop per 100L of water daily. 1 ml of Fluorine (~15 drops) in 100L of water raises the fluorine level by 0,06 ppm and iodine by 0.015 mg/L (ppm).
Please note: Each aquarium is different and the dosage depends on the coral cast and individual needs. The recommended level of fluorine in marine aquariums is 1.3 mgl/L (ppm).
