Eheim MECH

Eheim EHFIMECH is a coarse mechanical filter material which is designed to be used as a bottom filtering layer. Its hollow ceramic design creates eddies which disburse the water into many paths.

It traps large debris while creating an even flow of water for subsequent aquarium filtration layers. This makes it ideal to use a pre filter, sending cleaner water through to the main body of the filter. 

This mechanical media can be washed in aquarium water, to retain the bacterial colonies that have developed and prolong the life. It is ideal for use with the Eheim Classic External Filters range.

Suitable for both fresh and marine water aquariums.
