Description
The Iridescent Bettas (Betta Splendens) are admired for their shimmering, iridescent scales that reflect a beautiful range of colors under light. Unlike males, females tend to have shorter fins but still display vibrant coloration and graceful movements.
These bettas are generally peaceful but may show territorial behavior with same-sex conspecifics. They thrive in well-planted tanks with plenty of hiding spots and calm water flow.
Maintaining stable water parameters with a pH between 6.0 and 7.5 and temperatures from 24 to 28°C (75 to 82°F) will ensure health and vitality.
A varied diet including high-quality pellets, flakes, and occasional live or frozen foods like bloodworms and brine shrimp will keep them healthy and vibrant.
The Iridescent Betta is a beautiful and relatively easy-to-care-for fish, making it a popular choice for both beginner and experienced aquarists.
