The huge collection of Lotus Green Genie Pond Filters are designed to offer top quality filtration in your garden pond. There is a model for 2,500 litre ponds up to a huge 48,000 litre pool. A Koi pond especially needs sufficient filtration to ensure clean, clear, healthy water.
Each unit has an integral Lotus Ultra Violet lamp which treats algae cells in the water. They are clumped together for easier removal. Removing the algae from the water lowers the risk of an algae problem in the summer months. The larger models from 12,500 upwards come complete with two lamps to ensure that larger bodies of water are properly treated.
The water then flows through Dimple foam of different grades, so particles of every size and shape are removed from the water. Flocor biological media then uses bacteria to break down nitrites and other biological pollutants which improves water quality and cuts the risk of health problems in fish and plants.
All of the filters are fitted with a Vari-Flow valve which guards against over-flowing.

It did have a one inch crack close to the inlet valve that can not really been seen unless you remove the lid to access the UV (which I did to see if it was the same set up as the old one). As it was the last one in stock and I was needing to get this working so I chose not to report it as it was obvious it wouldn't effect it's operation. Anyway I wired it up to my switch box and off she went, replacing the near indenticle 6000 that has been serving my tiny 600 ltr fish pond for the last 12 years. The new black looks better than the old green one but this one feels a little less solid, softer plastic. That could be 12 years of the elements that had hardened it up though. Hoping this lasts as long as the old one as does the same amazing job. The packaging looked untouched so presume the defect was an manufacturing issue but losing a star for that, I am sure Swell would of exchanged/refunded as never had an issue with their customer services (reptile section). -
