Seachem Purigen

Seachem Purigen is a premium synthetic adsorbent that is unlike any other filtration product. It is a unique macro-porous synthetic polymer that removes soluble and insoluble impurities from both marine and fresh water and controls ammonia, nitrites and nitrates by removing nitrogenous organic waste that would otherwise release these harmful compounds. The unique bead design of these resins is rounder than similar products, which gives it a larger surface area and more microscopic pores that increase its usable surface area to many times that of a purely spherical resin. Purigen can also be regenerated as it absorbs waste products it will steadily darken and once it is exhausted, it can be regenerated with a solution of bleach and water. Use this product with a fine mesh filter bag a large surface area of spherical beads increases efficiency of the beads.

Dosage:

When using a filter bag, one litre of Seachem Purigen will treat up to 4,000 litres (1,000 gallons) for up to six months.
