Swell Banana Stem

The Banana stem is naturally harvested and dried, and offers you a great alternative decor for your aquarium. This four pack does vary in size, as each piece is completely naturally, but they are around 5 - 10cm in length, and although lightweight, are quite strong for attaching plants if you wanted.

Ideal when used with other natural decor to create a real biotope set up, these should be boiled for around an hour before use to ensure they don't just float off. You may find they swell slightly once saturated, which is normal. As a natural product, you will find that the colouration and shapes will vary piece to piece, and they may leach some tannins into the water, causing a yellow-tinge, which is completely normal and harmless. Boiling beforehand will reduce the effect of this if you wish.
