Tetra Active Substrate

The Tetra Active Substrate is a natural and plant-friendly soil that promotes healthy plant growth. It features large surface areas with a porous structure of water neutral clay granules, which offers several advantages compared to normal gravel, including allowing the settlement of beneficial soil bacteria. It also helps to reduce organic water pollution, and relieves pressure on the filter and ensure your water is clearer.

The Active Substrate provides optimal soil structure whilst also helps to prevent any root rot from taking place, and also encourages plants to root faster, as they're able to get a firm grip and anchor in, meaning they can start to thrive quicker too!

The clay substrate provides roots with optimal nutrient levels, and also allows a constant water circulation, with around 50% more water permeability than conventional gravel, ensuring you have strong and health plant growth.
