What are Juwel Eccoflow pumps?

Juwel Eccoflow pumps are the latest generation of Juwel's fully submersible water flow pumps. In all Eccoflow pumps, the impellers are on a double bearing system and are specially tailored to the individual motor rating. This is what creates the extra operating quietness and low power input of the Eccoflow pumps.

The bypass flow principle means that the impeller chamber is constantly and automatically cleaned. As you would expect, the JUWEL Eccoflow pumps comply with the highest safety standards and are VDE certified.

What sizes of Juwel Eccoflow pumps are available?

Juwel Eccoflow pumps are available in performance categories 300, 500, 600, 1000 and 1500 and are perfect for use in the internal filter system that comes with many Juwel aquariums.

When placed inside an internal filter, the Eccoflow pump pulls water from the upper and lower water layers of the aquarium into the filter. Due to the special construction of the filter, the water passes from the top to the bottom through the filter media, which greatly simplifies the filter maintenance. 

After passing through multiple layers of filter media, the water that has been filtered repeatedly flows back into the aquarium via the Eccoflow pump.

Are Juwel Eccoflow pumps suitable for saltwater use?

To use a Juwel Eccoflow pump in a saltwater aquarium, you'll need to fix it with some ceramic axles. These are available to purchase separately from Juwel. These ceramic axles prolong the lifespan of the pump when used in a saltwater aquarium.
