How do I install this TMC Therm Heater 220v 50Hz?
This heater is incredibly easy to set up and install, just attach it to an inside surface of your aquarium using the suction cups provided. Before you plug it in, make sure that your water line is no lower than the minimum water line near the top of the heater - if too much of the heater is exposed to the air then it could overheat and break.
Once you turn your heater on, adjust its output by turning the temperature dial to your desired temperature. The on switch remains on until your aquarium's water gets up to temperature. After that, it automatically turns off and only turns on again when your water temperature drops below your desired temperature settings.
Do I need a heater for my aquarium?
In most cases, yes. If you're keeping tropical or marine fish and you don't live in an area blessed with sun and warm temperatures year-round, then you'll need a heater for your aquarium. Some temperate or coldwater fish may also appreciate a heater, especially during colder months or if they're being kept inside a garage with no heating.
Before you purchase and install a heater, it's worth checking two important things. First, how big is your aquarium? A large volume of water will require a heater with a large wattage rating. And two, what kind of fish are you keeping? Some fish like a range of temperatures, while others prefer a specific, stable temperature. Do your research and always try to keep fish that like similar temperatures together.
