What is the Swell Decorator Crab?

The Decorator Crab is a fascinating species of crab that has a unique ability to camouflage itself by attaching pieces of coral, small rocks, sponges, or algae to its body to better blend in with its surroundings. Due to their disguises, each decorator crab makes for a truly unique fishkeeping experience, as they will each look very different to other crabs and will enhance your marine tank with their ability to blend seamlessly into any marine tank they are placed in, full of the intricate patterns and textures of the marine world. Although to generally be considered reef-safe, it is important to be aware that these crabs may use coral as part of their camouflage that they will use to decorate their body. Decorator Crabs are considered to be beginner friendly due to their hardy nature and ability to handle occasional beginner errors, making them a fantastic choice for marine keepers of any ability.

How are these invertebrates delivered to you?

The delivery time for your invertebrates will be two working days if ordered before 2pm Monday - Thursday, and if you ordered after 2pm on a Thursday until Sunday then they should arrive with you by Tuesday. They will arrive in a polystyrene box and be bagged with oxygen which will allow them to stay packaged for up to 48 hours, if they are ordered during winter they will also come with heat pads for warmth. There is a one off £30 delivery charge regardless of how many fish you buy per order.
