What are the main features of the Fluval Flex 57?

The Fluval Flex 57 is an all-in-one aquarium with a contemporary look and a unique curved-front panel. It has a built-in, multi-stage filtration system and a fully adjustable, remote controlled 7500K white + RBG LED light strip that can be clipped into its ergonomic hood.

This LED light comes with several pre-set modes that can be toggled between using the remote control provided: cloud cover, storm, and full colour cycle. You can also adjust its brightness and choose from over 80 white and RGB colour combinations. Its a fantastic light and one that's well suited for a planted aquascape.

How does the Fluval Flex 57's built-in filtration system work?

In the back of the Fluval Flex 57 there's a built-in filtration system that filters your water via a powerful, three-stage cleaning process.

It works by drawing water through the inlet grills and into a middle chamber packed with mechanical, biological, and chemical media. This media - a foam filter block (mechanical), carbon filter pad (chemical), and biomax (biological) - comes included with the aquarium.

As water is forced through this media chamber, waste solids are caught and, over time, broken down by beneficial bacteria living in and amongst the filter media. These beneficial bacteria convert harmful compounds like ammonia and nitrite into less harmful compounds like nitrate. The carbon filter pad provides an extra layer of chemical filtration, removing impurities from your water and making it safe for your aquarium's inhabitants.

After passing through the media chamber, water moves into the third and final chamber where a powerful pump pumps it back into your aquarium via multi-directional dual outputs. These outputs can be adjusted to create customised water flows that'll suit the type of fish you keep. There's room in this final chamber for you to place your Fluval T Heater 50W and turn your aquarium into a tropical system.

What kind of fish can I keep in this aquarium?

This Fluval Flex 57 has a total volume of 15 US gallons, or 57 litres. This makes it suitable for most nano and small-sized fish, like Tetras, Guppies, Endlers, Mollies, and Dwarf Cichlids.
