What is Seiryu Stone?

Seiryu Stone is a light to dark grey rock used by aquarists to create stunning aquascapes. As such a highly textured rock, it is often used in traditional rock-only aquascapes known as iwagumi aquascapes. This 20kg box contains pieces of varying shapes, sizes, and colours. Such variety will help you to create an underwater world that looks just like the environments your fish inhabit in the wild.

How do I use this Seiryu Stone?

Prior to placing this Seiryu Stone in your aquarium, rinse it and make sure any dust or loose fragments are removed. Then, for large, heavy pieces of rock, lay down some foam or gravel/sand on the base of your aquarium to protect the integrity of the glass/acrylic underneath.

After you’ve placed your large, heavy pieces of rock, scatter your other rocks around these ‘keystones’ in a pattern of your choosing. For a truly natural look, consider placing these rocks in a haphazard pattern to replicate the work of Mother Nature. You can also stack rocks on top of one another to create caves and crevices for your fish to hide in.

This 20kg box provides enough aquascaping material for a 100L aquarium.

Some boxes may contain more individual rocks than others, but all will amount to 20kg of bulk material.
