What is the Swell Lawnmower Blenny?

Lawnmower Blennies are named appropriately as they have a strong appetite for algae, making them known as the lawnmower of the ocean. This species is an excellent choice for a marine aquarium, as they not only add charm, but also serve a helpful purpose by consuming algae that may grow in your aquarium, although it should be noted that food will need to be supplied to this fish if there is not a substantial amount of algae growth in your tank. The Algae Blenny is reasonably simple to care for when put into a pre-established tank, as they are generally peaceful (except for with similar looking fish or other blennies), and one of their most common food sources is naturally occurring. They also have a unique look, with comb-like teeth and small patterns across their body that are used to help them blend with their surroundings. Algae Blennies also have a very distinctive personality, often found perching on rocks and hopping along the substrate, making them an entertaining addition to your marine tank.

How are these fish delivered to you?

The delivery time for your fish will be two working days if ordered before 2pm Monday - Thursday, and if you ordered after 2pm on a Thursday until Sunday then they should arrive with you by Tuesday. They will arrive in a polystyrene box and be bagged with oxygen which will allow them to stay packaged for up to 48 hours, if they are ordered during winter they will also come with heat pads for warmth. There is a one off £30 delivery charge regardless of how many fish you buy per order.
