What is the Red Sea Reefer 900?

The Red Sea Reefer 900 is a beautiful, marine aquarium that is packed full of the hardware you expect from an impressive reef system. It contains a large surface skimmer, integrated automatic pumps, enlarged overflow box and a split sump system with an emergency overflow water management system. With lots of little touches, the entire unit is a wonder to behold, easily fitting into any contemporary home.

The Reefer 900 can be bought in both white and black, with one of two different lighting kits or with no lighting kit at all. We recommend pairing it with an external leak detector to ensure the tank is secure.

What are the features of this marine fish tank?

This marine tank has a suite of features that puts it ahead of many other tanks on the market, including:

• Rimless Ultra-Clear Glass Aquarium - The glass is much thicker in this tank and features a bevelled edge for a clearer view of the tank and greater protection against cracks and leaks. As the display tank length is 200cm, this is critical to ensure the safety of the aquarium.
• Reinforced Plywood Marine Spec Cabinet - The bevelled edge glass aquarium sits atop a custom laminated plywood cabinet that is specially designed to hold the weight of the large aquarium with a series of aluminium supports built-in. The cabinet also conceals the comprehensive water management system including the adjustable height skimmer chamber, regulated down-flow system and sump extension.
• Surface Skimmer and Dual Return Outlets - The skimmer chamber sits at the back of the tank and runs down into the sump for discreet water management. The chamber is flanked by dual outlet pipes that bring the water back up from the sump, along with any top-ups from the saltwater reservoir, for greater water distribution and coverage.
• Split Sump System - The split sump system is made up of the main sump for filtration, featuring an adjustable height skimmer chamber, and a secondary chamber that can be connected to the sump system to serve as an optional refugium chamber or dedicated frag tank. The two sumps together offer a total cabinet sump water volume of 180 litres.

There are two lighting kits available with this aquarium, each containing different hardware. These lighting kits are compatible with Red Sea's dedicated ReefBeat app that incorporates all of your reef keeping equipment into a single, easy-to-use system.

• 4 x RL 90 and mounting arms - This kit uses four of Red Sea's second-most-powerful Reef LEDs to offer complete coverage of the display tank. Each of the lights comes with a mounting arm which will keep it safe and secure above the water.
• 3 x RL 160 and mounting arms - This kit uses three of Red Sea's most-powerful Reef LEDs to offer complete coverage of the display tank. Each of the lights comes with a mounting arm which will keep it safe and secure above the water.
