This Yamitsu Universal Pre-filter is one of the most versatile units for sale in the garden aquariums market. For use at the beginning of your filtration system, use this pre-filter to strain out large particles from entering and potentially damaging your pump and filter system.

Designed to increase the filtered surface area at your pond pump's inlet, the Yamitsu Universal Pre-filter acts as a more secure barrier to your filtration system, protecting both your main filter and pump from becoming clogged with leaves and stones, and keeping the wildlife in your pond from being sucked into the system.
Designed for primary use with submersible pumps, each Universal Pre-Filter can be adapted to be used with surface pumps too, protecting all alike from the likelihood of clogging and damage.
It effectively acts as a strainer basket containing Japanese matting, only letting smaller particles into the pump and therefore protecting the impellor, and each unit comes with adapters allowing it to be fitted with the majority of the main pump brands.
