The Aqua One Maxi Filter should have the filter media sponge inside changed every 8 weeks ideally, in order to keep optimum filtration levels. This sponges provides both mechanical and biological filtration with your filter, ensuring that your water is kept clear and clean at all times.

The sponge comes in a set size for the Maxi Internal Filter model, either the 101, 102, 103 or 104 version, with the 103 and 104 coming as a two pack, each cut to the perfect size.
