Eastern Mud Turtle Kinosternon Subrubrum Juvenile 5cm "Meet the Eastern Mud Turtle, a delightful addition to any aquatic enthusiast's collection. Originating from the freshwater habitats of the Eastern United States, these charming turtles thrive in semi-aquatic environments. Their small size, reaching about 4-5 inches in length, makes them ideal for medium-sized tanks or outdoor ponds. Feeding these omnivorous creatures is a breeze as they readily consume a varied diet of aquatic plants, insects, worms, and commercial turtle pellets. Their easy-going nature extends to their tank mates; they peacefully coexist with other non-aggressive fish and turtle species. Known for their docile temperament, Eastern Mud Turtles are generally non-aggressive, making them a fantastic choice for beginner reptile enthusiasts. However, it's crucial to provide them with ample hiding spots and a basking area to prevent stress. A moderate level of experience in turtle care is recommended, particularly in maintaining proper water parameters. These turtles thrive in well-filtered, clean water with a temperature range of 75-80°F and a pH level between 6.5-7.5.Above images for illustration purposes only.
