What is Hobby Artemia Artemix?

Hobby Artemia Artemix is a ready-made mixture of Artemia and Artemia Salt. This specially formulated mixture makes hatching Artemia (Brine Shrimp) eggs quick and easy. As long as the correct directions supplied with the product are followed, Artemia larvae should hatch after 24-36 hours.

Can I use normal salt when hatching Artemia?

While normal salt can typically be used for hatching Artemia, it’s not the best. Hobby’s Artemia Salt, on the other hand, replicates the conditions Artemia experience in the wild. It contains traces of plankton that help feed the newly hatched Artemia larvae, which – according to independent research – boosts hatchling growth rates.
