What is the Swell Checkerboard Wrasse?
The Checkerboard Wrasse is a large species of wrasse that will get to around 27 cm in length, they are not safe to keep with invertebrates as they will nip at them. They won't eat any of your corals but it is best to provide plenty of space due to the size that this fish species grows to as they might bump into the corals and possibly damage them. This Wrasse can be aggressive if housed with similar species of fish but will generally be a peaceful species and will make a great addition to the reef aquarium. You need to make sure that you provide plenty of rocks and substrate for the Checkerboard Wrasse to hide in if it ever gets scared.
