Albino Buenos Aires Hyphessobrycon Anisitsi 2cm Overview: The Buenos Aires Tetra, a vibrant and engaging species, boasts a striking silver body adorned with stunning red accents. Originating from the rivers and streams of South America, this hardy tetra is cherished for its lively nature and captivating schooling behavior. Origin: Hailing from the waters of Argentina and parts of Brazil, the Buenos Aires Tetra thrives in mildly acidic to neutral water conditions and is accustomed to moderate water flow in its natural habitat. Feeding: These omnivorous beauties eagerly accept a varied diet, relishing both high-quality flake food and small live or frozen fare like bloodworms, brine shrimp, and daphnia. Their diet can be supplemented with vegetable matter like blanched spinach or cucumber. Tank Mates: Peaceful yet energetic, Buenos Aires Tetras are ideal additions to community tanks. They thrive alongside other tetras, danios, rasboras, and peaceful bottom dwellers like Corydoras catfish. Be mindful to avoid housing them with fin-nipping species, as their flowing fins may become targets. Aggression: Although generally peaceful, males might exhibit occasional territorial behavior, especially during breeding periods. Adequate space and suitable hiding spots can alleviate any potential aggression. Experience Level: Intermediate aquarists will find joy in caring for Buenos Aires Tetras. They require moderate attention to water quality, feeding, and tank mates, making them a rewarding species for those with some prior experience in fishkeeping. Water Parameters: Maintaining stable water conditions is key. Aim for a pH level between 6.5 to 7.5, a water temperature range of 68-79°F (20-26°C), and moderately soft to slightly hard water with a dGH (general hardness) of 5-20.Above images for illustration purposes only.
