Albino Clarias Angolensis 5cm Overview: Albino Clarias Angolensis, commonly known as the Albino Giraffe Catfish, is a striking freshwater fish known for its unique appearance and peaceful nature. This species showcases a pale, albino coloration with distinct elongated patterns, making it an eye-catching addition to any aquarium. Origin: Originating from African freshwater habitats, particularly Angola, this species prefers slow-moving waters such as rivers and streams with sandy or muddy substrates. Feeding: Albino Clarias Angolensis are opportunistic feeders, consuming a varied diet that includes live and frozen foods like bloodworms, brine shrimp, and small fish. They also readily accept sinking pellets or flakes. Tank Mates: These catfish are generally peaceful and can coexist with similarly sized non-aggressive species like tetras, peaceful cichlids, and other catfish. However, avoid pairing them with smaller fish that could be seen as potential prey. Aggression: Albino Clarias Angolensis are peaceful by nature and typically exhibit minimal aggression towards tank mates. They are more likely to hide or retreat when stressed rather than engage in confrontations. Experience Level: Intermediate fishkeeping experience is recommended due to their specific feeding requirements and the need for adequately sized tanks. Water Parameters: Maintaining stable water conditions is crucial. Aim for a pH level between 6.5 to 7.5, a temperature range of 75-82°F (24-28°C), and moderate water hardness around 5-12 dGH.
