What is this Aquadeco Deco-Set Seiryu Rock?

The Aquadeco Deco-Set Holestone is a collection of large, medium, and small pieces of Seiryu Rock. Seiryu Rock is a grey, highly textured rock often used in traditional, minimalist aquascapes known as Iwagumi aquascapes. It’s an incredibly popular choice of rock amongst aquascapers. This set comes in two sizes, a 6kg box that contains enough material for a 60L aquarium, and a 7.5kg box that contains enough material for an 80L aquarium.

How do I aquascape with Seiryu Rock?

Prior to placing this Seiryu Rock in your aquarium, rinse it and make sure any dust or loose fragments are removed. Then, for large, heavy pieces of rock, lay down some foam or gravel/sand on the base of your aquarium to protect the integrity of the glass/acrylic underneath.

After you’ve placed your large, heavy pieces of rock, scatter your other rocks around these ‘keystones’ in a pattern of your choosing. For a truly natural look, consider placing these rocks in a haphazard pattern to replicate the work of Mother Nature.
