Armitage Angelfish – Apolemichthys trimaculatus

Overview:
The Armitage Angelfish, or Three-Spot Angelfish, is a vibrant marine species featuring a bright yellow body accented with three distinctive dark spots and a striking blue eye-ring. Its bold colors make it a lively and eye-catching addition to large saltwater aquariums.

Origin:
Native to the Indo-Pacific region, found around coral reefs from East Africa to the central Pacific.

Feeding:
Omnivorous — thrives on sponge-based angelfish diets, spirulina, algae, mysis, brine shrimp, and finely chopped seafood.

Tank Mates:
Best kept with peaceful to moderately aggressive tank mates such as tangs, Wrasses, and butterflyfish. Avoid housing with other large angelfish unless in very spacious systems.

Aggression:
Semi-aggressive — may show territorial behavior, particularly toward similar species.

Experience Level:
Recommended for intermediate to advanced aquarists, requiring a mature aquarium and a varied diet.

Water Parameters:

• Temperature: 74–82°F (23–28°C)

• pH: 8.1–8.4

• Salinity: 1.020–1.025

• Minimum Tank Size: 150+ gallons
