Assorted Danio Danio Rerio 2cm Overview: The Zebra Danio, known for its striking black and white stripes, is a vibrant and energetic freshwater fish popular among aquarists. Its active schooling behavior and hardiness make it a fantastic addition to community tanks. Origin: Originally from streams in South Asia, particularly found in India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Myanmar. Feeding: Omnivorous by nature, Zebra Danios readily accept various foods including high-quality flakes, pellets, live or frozen brine shrimp, bloodworms, and vegetable matter. Tank Mates: Peaceful and sociable, they thrive in groups of 6 or more. Ideal tank mates include other peaceful fish like other Danio species, Rasboras, Tetras, Corydoras, and peaceful bottom-dwelling species like small catfish. Aggression: Typically non-aggressive, though they might display minor territorial behavior during breeding periods. Experience Level: Perfect for beginners due to their adaptability, hardiness, and low-maintenance nature. Water Parameters: Zebra Danios prefer a well-oxygenated tank with a temperature range of 64-74°F (18-23°C), a pH level between 6.5 and 7.5, and moderately hard water.Above images for illustration purposes only.
