Ghost Butterfly Koi Carp (Cyprinus carpio)

Overview:
The Ghost Butterfly Koi is an ethereal ornamental koi with a soft, translucent body and long, flowing fins. Its subtle, almost spectral coloration and graceful swimming make it a serene and captivating addition to any pond.

Origin:
Developed in Japan, this variety is selectively bred for its delicate ghost-like appearance and elegant butterfly fins, blending classic koi beauty with a unique, otherworldly charm.

Feeding:
Omnivorous. Feed high-quality koi pellets as a staple diet, supplemented with vegetables, shrimp, or seasonal treats. Feed 1–2 times daily during warmer months.

Tank / Pond Mates:
Peaceful and social. Best kept with other koi or calm, similarly sized pond fish such as goldfish.

Temperament / Aggression:
Very peaceful and non-aggressive, ideal for community ponds.

Experience Level:
Beginner to advanced. Hardy and adaptable, though proper pond size and filtration are essential for optimal health.

• pH: 6.5–8.5

• Water Type: Freshwater

• Minimum Pond Size: 1,000+ gallons recommended
