The Aulonocara is a true winner for a single species aquarium! Aulonocara or Peacock cichlid create a stunning, colourful and lively aquarium. they have a typical sleek, bullet-shaped body common to the Cichlidae family. The active Aulonocara seems equally content guarding its territory or perusing the perimeter of your aquarium. Aulonocara do well with other Aulonocara when provided with a spacious aquarium of 66 gallons or more with ample rockwork. They also play well with Yellow Labs. Remember Aulonocara can and probably will be aggressive toward smaller fish. Feeding is simple for the unfussy Aulonocara. High-quality dry, frozen, and live foods will all be readily accepted. Quality and variety are the keys to a diet that will ensure that this fish maintains optimal health and coloration.
