Banded Knife Fish Gymnotus Carapo 10cm Overview: The Albino Clown Knife Fish, a stunning albino variant of the Notopterus Chitala, captivates with its sleek, elongated body and vibrant coloration. Known for its graceful movements and distinctive appearance, this fish makes an exquisite addition to any advanced aquarist's collection. Origin: Originating from the freshwater rivers and tributaries of Southeast Asia, particularly Thailand and Myanmar, these fish thrive in warm, slow-moving waters. Feeding: This species is primarily carnivorous, relishing live foods like earthworms, shrimp, and small fish. They may also accept high-quality pellets or frozen foods with time and proper acclimatization. Tank Mates: Best kept with larger, peaceful tank mates such as other non-aggressive species of similar size. Avoid pairing them with smaller fish that could be seen as prey. Aggression: Typically non-aggressive but may display territorial behavior as they grow. Providing ample space and hiding spots can mitigate potential conflicts. Experience Level: Recommended for experienced aquarists due to their specific feeding requirements, potential size, and need for a well-maintained aquarium setup. Water Parameters:- Temperature: 75-82°F (24-28°C)
- pH: 6.5-7.5
- Hardness: Soft to moderately hard water
