Overview

The Berghia Slug is a small, striking nudibranch prized for its specialized ability to control pest Aiptasia anemones in reef aquariums. With a translucent body and cerata tipped in orange, this slug is both functional and visually appealing, making it an essential natural solution for problematic anemones.

Origin

Native to the Caribbean and Western Atlantic, Aeolidiella stephanieae inhabits shallow reef zones and seagrass beds, where it naturally preys on Aiptasia anemones.

Feeding

Carnivorous, feeding exclusively on Aiptasia anemones. Requires a tank with an established Aiptasia population to sustain healthy growth.

Tank Mates

Completely reef-safe with corals, fish, and other invertebrates. Avoid predatory species that may eat or stress the slug.

Aggression

Peaceful. Specialized predator targeting only Aiptasia, leaving other tank inhabitants unharmed.
