Offer them high-quality flake or micro-pellet foods as a staple, supplemented with live or frozen options like brine shrimp, daphnia, and bloodworms. A varied diet helps maintain their health and enhances their vibrant coloration. Tank Mates: These peaceful tetras are ideal for community tanks and can be kept with other non-aggressive species such as small tetras, rasboras, Corydoras catfish, and peaceful dwarf cichlids. They thrive in groups of six or more, where their social behaviors and striking appearance are most evident. Aggression: Black Emperor Tetras are generally peaceful but can exhibit mild territorial behavior, particularly among males.
