Blue Assessor Basslet Assessor Macneilli The Blue Assessor Basslet, also known as the Assessor Macneilli, is a beautiful dark blue marine fish that originates from New Caledonia. This basslet is considered reef-safe and has a small adult size, making it a great addition to both fish-only and reef aquariums. In terms of feeding, the Blue Assessor Basslet is an omnivore and will readily accept a variety of foods, including flakes, pellets, and frozen or freeze-dried marine-based foods. Regarding tank mates, this basslet is considered moderately aggressive and may nip at other small, peaceful fish. It is recommended to house it with other peaceful, community-type fish of similar size. The Blue Assessor Basslet is considered a hardy fish and is suitable for both beginner and experienced aquarium hobbyists. However, it is important to maintain proper water parameters, including a pH between 8.1-8.4, a temperature range of 72-82°F, and a specific gravity of 1.020-1.025. Overall, the Blue Assessor Basslet is a beautiful and relatively easy-to-care-for addition to a marine aquarium, provided the appropriate water conditions and tank mates are selected.Above images for illustration purposes only.
