Chinese Blueline Angelfish – Chaetodontoplus septentrionalis

Overview:
The Chinese Blueline Angelfish is a striking marine angelfish, easily recognized by its bold yellow body adorned with vivid blue horizontal lines. Elegant and active, it adds vibrant color and personality to large saltwater aquariums.

Origin:
Native to the Western Pacific Ocean, particularly around China, Taiwan, and southern Japan.

Feeding:
Omnivorous — thrives on a varied diet of sponge-based angelfish formulas, marine algae, spirulina, mysis, brine shrimp, and finely chopped seafood.

Tank Mates:
Best kept with peaceful to moderately aggressive fish such as tangs, Wrasses, and anthias. Avoid housing with other large angelfish unless in a very spacious system.

Aggression:
Semi-aggressive — generally peaceful but may become territorial toward similar-looking species.

Experience Level:
Recommended for intermediate to advanced aquarists, requiring a stable and mature marine system.

Water Parameters:

• Temperature: 74–82°F (23–28°C)

• pH: 8.1–8.4

• Salinity: 1.020–1.025

• Minimum Tank Size: 120+ gallons
