The Balloon Albino Convict Cichlid is a compact and uniquely shaped variant of the classic Convict Cichlid. With its rounded "balloon" body, pinkish-white coloration, and striking red eyes, this fish combines hardiness, personality, and a distinctive look. Despite its unusual body shape, it retains the bold attitude and breeding easeConvicts are known for—making it a favorite for cichlid enthusiasts and beginners alike.

Origin:
This is a selectively bred aquarium variant of the Central American Convict Cichlid, not found in the wild. The "balloon" body shape and albino coloration are results of controlled breeding.

Feeding:
Omnivorous and not picky. Feed a varied diet of high-quality cichlid pellets, flakes, frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, and vegetable matter (like spirulina or blanched spinach). A balanced diet helps support coloration and reduce aggression.

Tank Mates:
Semi-aggressive. Best kept with other Central or South American cichlids, catfish (like plecos), or robust barbs. Avoid slow or delicate fish, especially in smaller tanks. Can be kept as a bonded pair, but breeding behavior may increase aggression.

Water Parameters:

• Temperature: 74–80°F (23–27°C)

• pH: 6.5–8.0

• Hardness: Moderate to hard

• Minimum Tank Size: 30 gallons (larger for pairs or communities)

• Provide rocks, caves, and hiding spots
