Coral Sea Yellow Dwarf Angelfish – Centropyge heraldi
Overview:
The Coral Sea Yellow Dwarf Angelfish is a bright and striking marine fish, featuring a vivid yellow body with subtle blue accents on the fins and around the eyes. Its bold coloration and active personality make it a standout in any marine aquarium.
Origin:
Native to the Coral Sea region of the Western Pacific, typically found around coral reefs and rocky outcroppings.
Feeding:
Omnivorous – thrives on marine algae, spirulina, mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and high-quality angelfish pellets or frozen foods. Supplement with nori sheets or algae-based foods for optimal health and coloration.
Tank Mates:
Best kept with peaceful to semi-aggressive community fish. Can show territorial behavior toward other dwarf angelfish. In reef tanks, may occasionally nip at LPS corals, zoanthids, or clam mantles.
Aggression:
Semi-aggressive – territorial, particularly with similar species or in smaller tanks.
Experience Level:
Intermediate – hardy when provided a stable, well-established aquarium with plenty of live rock for grazing and shelter.
