This Baikal variety is made up of small pieces (3-8mm or 10-30mm) of highly textured black slate that can be used to decorate planted aquascapes, natural biotopes, and community aquariums.

How do I use Dennerle Plantahunter Gravel Baikal?

This natural gravel, like others in Dennerle’s wide range, is best used as a ‘detail’ or ‘accent’ gravel in planted aquariums. After laying down your bulk sand/gravel layer, sprinkle some of this natural gravel on top to create a natural-looking, highly textured aesthetic. You can mix it with other gravels to create an even more striking gravel layer. Wash before use to avoid cloudy water.
