Dwarf Gourami Trichogaster Lalius 5cm "Discover the captivating beauty of the Dwarf Gourami (Trichogaster lalius), a stunning and colorful freshwater fish ideal for planted aquariums. Originating from South Asia, specifically India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, these vibrant fish boast a peaceful demeanor, making them a wonderful addition to community tanks. Feeding the Dwarf Gourami is a breeze as they readily accept high-quality flake or pellet foods. They also enjoy occasional treats of live or frozen foods like brine shrimp or bloodworms to enhance their diet. Their calm disposition makes them compatible with various tank mates, particularly peaceful species like tetras, rasboras, and bottom-dwellers like Corydoras catfish. However, it's advisable to avoid aggressive or nippy tank mates to prevent stress. In terms of aggression, Dwarf Gouramis typically exhibit territorial behavior amongst themselves, especially the males. Providing adequate hiding places and space can help minimize potential conflicts. These fish are suitable for aquarists of various experience levels, though maintaining stable water conditions is crucial. Aim for a pH between 6.0-7.5, temperatures around 77-82°F (25-28°C), and ensure good water quality by performing regular water changes.
